The YMCA of Metro Atlanta makes a significant difference in the lives of 250,000 individuals in our communities, every day..I know, I'm one of them. I have been involved in the Atlanta Metro Y my whole life through many camps as a kid, Indian Guides with my sons, and I continue today participating in aerobic classes and weight workouts. So much more than a gym and a great place to swim, the Y develops vital programs and services for ALL people in Metro Atlanta to reach their full potential. Today though, 1 in 4 children, teens, or families need financial assistance to be a part of the Atlanta Metro Y. As a charitable nonprofit, the Y relies on donations from people like you and me to provide scholarships to these deserving folks. That’s why I’m proud to champion the YMCA.
For many years now, I've also been a member of the Board of Advisors at YMCA Camp High Harbour at Lake Burton. I really love Camp. It provides fellowship and learning in a really fun place (check out the video). Kids make new friends, learn new life skills and develope leadership skills. And last summer, Camp provided 646 scholarships for some really exceptional kids. This year, we're shooting for 721. If you believe that young people who become great leaders are the future of this great country, then I urge you to consider a donation. It will be an investment that pays us all incomparable dividends.
