This year the YMCA is having its 175th anniversary and to celebrate London is hosting a youth conference where teenagers and young adults can share ideas and discuss how to contribute more to the community and solve the world's problems. I have been incredibly fortunate and have been able to learn so much from the Y. I have the great privilege this year to attend this conference as an ambassador for the United States and the Metro-Atlanta area.
Each day, the Y works to ensure our community has the support it needs to be its best. I’m proud to be a Y Champion to help give all kids, teen, and families access and opportunity to be a part of the Y. I have had the amazing experience of partaking in the Teen Leaders Club and now I have the wonderful opportunity to go on a Global Service Leaders trip with the Y, all the way to the London. Last year I was blessed with the privilege of traveling to the Republic of Georgia and it changed my life. I returned home with more confidence and love for the world around me. The YMCA has instilled within me the desire to serve my community and help others. I would like to share this gift with other across the world in London. With your help I am attempting to raise money so that I can share all that I have learned here with a new community across the globe.
This trip will be an incredible way to help others and give back to the community. Throughout the duration this trip I will be able to interact with other teenagers from over 100 countries around the world and gain insight into different cultures and ways of life. As part of this trip I will also be presenting about the importance and endorsing global service programs like this one to other countries and their ambassadors. I am thrilled to take part in this trip and to make new friends along the way. I appreciate all of your help and support in this worthy cause.
