First, thank you for getting this far. This will be quick, easy and pain free. I promise. Although, you may think you are doing this to help me or the YMCA, the truth is this is all about YOU! As the saying goes, The Giver (ie. donator) is most often the one who receives the most. This is certainly true in my life and I suspect yours too. So let’s do this . . .
Do what, you say? Read on and you will see. I love the YMCA and I’m guessing you do, too. Here’s a quick rundown on the “why”.
My number 1 reason Northwest Family YMCA is so much more than a Gym. We have countless programs that give back to the community in which we live. My favorite is the Feeding Program, which served over 20,000 lunches to hungry kids when school is out of session. YES, that just said 20,000. This proves that the Y has never swayed from their mission of building strong familes with healthy living.
My number 2 reason . . . team sports. The Y and I share a love for kid’s team sports. (Come on, you know you do, too.) So many of life's great lessons are learned playing team sports. There are the obvious ones: sportsmanship, conditioning, motor skills; however, those are secondary to the really important ones like being part of something bigger than yourself - a team. That's the good stuff. Oh, and by the way, at the Y, one out of every 4 kids is on scholarship . . . but you'll never know which ones . . . and that's how it should be. That's what your donation does.
And #3 the Y's VALUES. The Northwest Family YMCA provides a safe christian centered environment to raise a family. the Family Programs at in my opinion are fantastic. They have activities that build mind body and spirit. A family at the Y will not be turned away for the inability to pay. Your donation goes to assist families that can not afford to have this experience on their own
Well, that’s it. Help make a real difference. It's time to click the DONATE NOW button to the right top of this page. It will be put to great use. I thank you. The kids thank you. Your conscience thanks you. Now doesn’t that feel good?
