Hello Friends and Family.
As many of you know, I have had the honor and privilege of serving on the Board of the JM Tull Family YMCA in Lawrenceville for the past 8 years. The YMCA is an organization that I am passionate about because I have seen first hand the difference it makes for individuals and families in our community.
There are hundreds of stories I could share with you that demonstrate how the Y has been there for people in our community when they needed it the most. The Y is a place that for decades has provided a safe place where kids and be kids, have healthy meals, and learn and grow into thriving adults. It's a place where cancer survivors can reclaim the health and fitness that they lost while fighting for their lives. It's a place where children and adults that deal with developmental disabilities (Downs Syndrome, Autism, etc) can come and learn how to swim and be safe around pools. It's a place where older individuals can participate in specially designed fitness classes designed to help alleviate the symptoms of diseases like ALS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. It's a place where friends can gather and help each other be their best.
These stories, however, can only happen with your support. The YMCA is a non-profit that relies on charitable donations from the public to implement programs for those in need. That is why I am proud to be a Y Champion to help give all kids, teens, and families access and opportunity to be a part of the Y – regardless of their ability to pay. I am asking you to join me in my efforts to help the Y carry out its mission and serve those in need. The Y needs your support of the WHY IT MATTERS Annual Giving Campaign to make this possible.
100% of every dollar donated has a lasting impact on the people in my community by ensuring the Y’s doors are open to all – regardless of financial ability. Please join me and support the Y by making a donation today. Your gift will truly make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need the Y most.
