Friends and Family,
I hope this finds you well. As most of you know, the YMCA was a huge part of my Dad's life. He always called the Y an extension of our family. In his memory, I am honored to continue the legacy my Dad started with the YMCA and commit to helping them to the best of my abilities. And today is a special day - the annual Day of Giving for the YMCA.
Currently, during the Coronavirus crisis we are all experiencing, I've been in awe watching the leaders of the YMCA continue to do what the Y does best - serve. The YMCA is currently serving through their food donation program to more than 6,000 families in need, backpack program to provide snacks to kids who may go without, provision of childcare for healthcare workers, first responders and EMT's and a senior outreach program to ensure our senior citizens have what they need.
As I've watched the Y turn problems into progress, I am inspired to help. My voice is one tool I know how to use, so I'd like to ask that you please help the YMCA support those in need during this COVID-19 pandemic. I've pasted two links below. One is specifically for Clayton County, where Camp High Harbour Lake Burton is located and the food donations the Y is supporting there; and the other is a more general overall Y response link to help all Georgia communities weather this storm. Any amount is helpful. Please consider supporting the YMCA as they look to support those who need it most.
Thank you for your support,
