Our relationship with the Y started when our son Chris was six years old playing T-ball while Tomiko coached the team. Our knowledge of the YMCA was limited to youth activities and sports. As our children grew and became more active we learned that the Y was about fitness and healthy living, yet so much more.
Our children are learning what it means to be servant leaders and to understand what community truly means. They have learned the importance of giving back and they have participated in leadership retreats, day camps, overnight camps, global trips, teen leaders club and service work throughout metro Atlanta. Each day, the Y works to ensure our community has the support it needs to be its best. We are proud to be Y Champions to help give all kids, teens, and families access and opportunity to be a part of the Y regardless of ability to pay. In 2018 Tomiko and I made a committment to expose other children and families to the same opportunities that Chris and Haley have had through their involvement with the Y. The more children we can reach, the greater the impact in our communities. We are asking you to join us in our efforts to give all people in our community a chance to reach their full potential at the Y. Our goal is to raise funds to send three children to YMCA Camp High Harbour for a week to share in the same life-changing experiences that our children have had.
Please join us and support the Y by making a donation today. Your gift will truly make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need the Y most.
