Ever since I was young, I grew up coming to the YMCA, and I was hired as an employee in June 2017. I feel extremely blessed to be able to work at a place that does so much for the community.
For over 160 years, the Y has worked to ensure that local kids and teens have the help they need to prepare for Kindergarten, stay on-track in school, grow as leaders and learn how to contribute to a stronger community. Through wellness and hunger relief programs, the Y helps people of all ages stay active and healthy. The Y needs your support of the WHY IT MATTERS Annual Giving Campaign to make this possible.
When people ask me why I give, I tell them. I give because giving means that campers are able to come back to camp each Summer and during their school breaks, and kids in need will receive lunches during break, when they may not get one otherwise. It means that seniors with Parkinson's can come to our Y and take classes specific to their strengths and abilities. Also, families can come to the Y, regardless of their financial circumstances and live a healthy life. The list goes on for what donations contribute to.
I give because our community matters. The people in our community matter to me.
Please join me and support the Y by making a donation today. Your gift will truly make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need the Y most. Your donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
