In spite of being a member of the Y for over 10 years and working there for nearly two, the Y never fails to inspire me with its seemingly endless works. This organization reaches out to the community in myraid ways, such as through scholarships and lunch programs to name a few. Not only does the Y reach out to the community, it also goes out of its way to include as many people as possible as shown by its many programs. One program which I am particularly fond of is the Dance and Tumble Academy at the Northwest Family YMCA.
I started dancing in the Academy seven years ago and ever since the first class, I was hooked, determined to improve and express myself through the craft. It has since evolved from a pastime into a passion that I am still very much invested in to this day. It was because of this passion that I have had the fortune of working as a dance instructor since 2018. Through this position I have not only had the privilege of meeting and working with some amazing people, but have also been able to fall in love with dance all over again from a completely new perspective. I will never forget the adoration for dance instilled in my heart which never would have happened were it not for the YMCA.
Because of the Y's huge impact on my life, nothing would make me happier than for others to have a chance to discover their passion through participation in one of its programs or from its civic good works.
I ask that you consider donating to this fundraiser, as 100% of donations will benefit the "Why It Matters" Annual Giving Campaign and will be put toward aiding our community in the hope of helping individuals attain their full potential. Regardless of financial ability, every dollar is sure to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need the Y most. Thank you!
