Each day, the Y works to ensure our community has the support it needs to be its best. I can speak from experience that the Y does it best to support the community, but also teens and kids around it. I joined the YMCA at 9. My first experience is going to Camp High Harbour. I was not used to being away from home for an entire week, but the experience was great. I had one of my close friends to accompany me. So that my made my experience a lot better. The teen directors and the counselors made things a little interesting.
With all the experience that I have had with the YMCA, I could say that they stand by all of there codes and values. I am currently apart of the YMCA's teen club The Program of Understanding Leadership Service and Excellence (P.U.L.S.E). This club is for all teens who would like to join. In this teen club, I volunteer, meet with the other teens, and community service trips. I am also apart of the Community Interact Club of South DeKalb. I recently joined this club, but so far we have been meeting and planning our biggest events.
This summer I have decided to go to YMCA Blue Ridge. I am going on behalf of the South Dekalb Family YMCA. This will be the first year that I am going but for me to go to YMC Blue Ridge I have to raise 300.00 dollars. I would very much appreciate the support of friends, family, and others. I would love to have your donations/contributions. Every penny counts. Thank You for reading my story and donating.
